Staying Healthy with G6PD Deficiency RELEASED!!

After a little over a year of work, Staying Healthy with G6PD Deficiency finally made it into print. I am so proud of the work Melody did designing it. The book is full color with bleed, 8" X 10" and 172 information packed pages. It was written especially for people with G6PD Deficiency, but is a great way for everyone to stay healthy.

Oxidative stress from some foods, drugs and other substances (like moth balls) cause red blood cells to die prematurely in people with G6PD Deficiency, but oxidative stress also causes problems with everyone. For example, some cancers are caused or exacerbated by oxidative stress. One researcher called people with G6PD Deficiency "canaries in the coal mine". But the rest of the population is right behind us. In 1960 the United States was in the top few for longevity, but today, we are number 32, behind Cuba.

Our lifestyle and quality of food choices is catching up to us. Staying away from oxidative substances can help all of us, but especially those with G6PD Deficiency.

If you haven't seen it, here is a preview.

Here are a few comments from people who have bought the book.

"One of a Kind Valuable Guide and Recipe Book! Staying healthy can be a challenge for us all, but for the thousands of people with G6PD, this challenge can be overwhelming. Considering how many people suffer with this disease, it's hard to understand why it's taken so long for a book of this nature to come along, but here it is at last, and it is a gem. More than just a guide, the experiences that the author shares provide inspiration to live an abundant life by taking control and staying positive. And it offers vital information that can save lives. I like the way that G6PD is explained simply so that everyone can understand.
